On Thursday 22nd October, Bleecker is joining forces with UK Black Pride and KERB at Seven Dials Market for Honouring Our Communities, an evening celebrating Black History Month through food, culture, conversation and music.
From a one-off burger collaboration to live performances and DJs, the evening is about celebrating Black creativity, bringing communities together and recognising the people shaping Black culture today.
Introducing the Plantain Pride Burger
BBQ chef and food writer Melissa Thompson is back at Bleecker, this time teaming up with our very own N’Jhell Wilson, General Manager of Bleecker Seven Dials, to create a burger and fries available for one night only.
Meet the Plantain Pride Burger.
Featuring Bleecker beef patty, American cheese, crispy matchstick green plantain, fried plantain, green seasoning house sauce and tamarind jerk sauce.
And no burger is complete without a portion of fries. These come seasoned with Jamaican 7-spice, topped with jerk aioli and some more of that tamarind jerk sauce.
Both specials will be available from 6pm, with all profits donated to the Sickle Cell Society, supporting its work with people affected by sickle cell disorder.

Hosted by UK Black Pride, ‘Honouring Our Communities’ is about more than just looking back at Black history. It’s about recognising the communities, creativity and culture continuing to shape it every day.
The evening will begin with an invite-only panel discussion exploring Black creativity, culture and belonging, and what it really means to honour communities through action, not just words.
From 6pm, Seven Dials Market will come alive with music, live performances and DJs courtesy of UK Black Pride, celebrating Black queer talent and creativity throughout the evening.
