The Pros and Cons of the Veggie Burger
Every burger eater has heard of the veggie burger, the hamburger made out of vegetables that has always been the antithesis of everything a burger should stand for. The veggie burger was a hero to vegetarians who always loved a good burger but could never eat a burger ever again. However, the veggie burger has gone through a true revolution due to food experimentation, advancement and technology and there are now veggie burgers that taste exactly like real burgers, also known as Impossible Burgers.
The pros of a veggie burger are obvious—they are usually healthier and are better for the environment. It keeps you from eating red meat which is important for your health as well and gives you protein rich vegetables in ample servings. However, the cons are often related to salt content, which can be high with veggie burgers and, most of the time, higher cost, as veggie burgers are often more expensive to produce.
